LVN Charge Nurse

Looking for a fulltime LVN Charge Nurse for shifts:

2pm - 10pm M-F

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example: As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, providing guidance and support to nursing staff, and promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

  • Patient care: You will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Staff management: You will supervise and mentor nursing staff, provide feedback and coaching, and develop staffing schedules to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Communication: You will effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless coordination of care and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise.

  • Clinical decisions: You will make informed clinical decisions, including ordering medications, treatments, and conducting rounds to ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Quality improvement: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing

  • Experience: At least 0 years of experience as an LVN

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current LVN license in the state of Texas

  • Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
