Job description

Cornea/External Disease Ophthalmology Position seeking a full-time BC/BE, fellowship-trained specialist in Cornea/External Disease to join our expanding ophthalmology program in NC. Candidates with an interest in resident education and residency program development are encouraged to apply. Health Medical Center serves as a tertiary referral center, caring for a high volume of patients with complex ophthalmic conditions. Health Ophthalmology is actively recruiting providers across all sub-specialties to join its growing multi-specialty practice. The program has received ACGME approval to launch a new Ophthalmology residency, with the inaugural class set to begin in the summer of 2026. The center benefits from a strong hospital-based referral system, as well as referrals from local optometrists and ophthalmologists, in a region with limited subspecialty coverage.
