Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice
- Stabilize critically ill and injured patients
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations
- Collaborate with consulting specialists and hospital staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately using the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA registration
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, as required
