- Call: Must be able to take weekday call from 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM when needed
License & Certification Requirements
Required:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiology
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License (required at submission)
- ACLS
- PALS
Not Required:
Clinical Responsibilities
- Hospital-based anesthesia coverage
- Must be proficient in regional (nerve block) anesthesia due to a high orthopedic surgery volume
- Provide anesthesia for:
- Vascular
- OB/GYN
- General Surgery
- GI
- Pediatrics
- Plastics
- Orthopedics
- Robotics
- Urology
- Required skills:
- MAC
- Regional anesthesia
- Spinal anesthesia
- Ultrasound-guided techniques
Practice Details
- Setting: Hospital
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital Size: 135 beds
- Patient population: All ages
- Patient volume varies by anesthetizing location
- Anesthesiologists supervise a 1:3 CRNA-to-room ratio
