Job description

  • Specialty:
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Will take ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM with at least 2 years of ER experience
  • Coverage Needs:
    • Need October - Ongoing
    • Must be able to cover 5+ shifts per month
  • Shifts:
    • Monday: 7a-3p, 2p-10p, 9p-7a
    • Tuesday-Friday & Sunday: 7a-2:30p, 2p-9:30p, 9p-7a
    • Saturday: 7a-2p, 2p-9p, 9p-7a
    • Locums may work 12-hour shifts when operationally needed
  • Setting:
    • Freestanding ED
    • No trauma designation
    • Low volume
  • Census:
    • Annual Volume: 23,500
    • Patients Per Day: 64
    • EMS: 15%
    • Admission Rate: 8.5%
    • ED Beds: 15 beds + 2 fast track beds
  • Support Staff:
    • Daily APP coverage (12 hours)
    • Backup Specialties
      • Orthopedics
      • Gastroenterology
      • Tele-nephrology
      • Tele-neurology
      • Tele-psychiatry
  • Procedures:
    • All Standard ER procedures
  • EMR:
    • EPIC
  • Board Certification:
    • Board Certified Required
  • Travel:
    • Hospital will cover
  • Credentialing timeline:
    • Expedited Onboarding hoping for ASAP start
  • Requirements:
    • Active TX state license
    • Active DEA in TX or willing to transfer
    • ATLS, PALS
