Job description

  • Specialty:
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Will take ABEM, IM or FM
  • Coverage Needs:
    • Need ASAP - Ongoing
    • Must be able to cover 5+ shifts per month
  • Shifts:
    • 7a-7p, 11a-11p
    • PEDS 7p-7a DAILY
    • Mondays-additional 9a-5p and 4:30p-12:30a
  • Setting:
    • Regional Hospital
    • Level 2 trauma center
    • Medium acuity
  • Census:
    • 77k annual volume
    • 22 bed ED
    • Approx 192 patients per day, 2pph - includes residents numbers
  • Support Staff:
    • Full support staff and multiple ED MDs on staff
    • Lab 24/7; x-ray 24/7; CT 24/7 (dedicated to ED) ; Ultrasound 24/7 (in ED); MRI 24/7; 24-hour access to Radiology
    • 24-hour back-up: Hospitalist, Gen Surg; Anesthesia; trauma; cardio; intensivist/pulmonary; ENT; Ophthalmology; Urology; Ortho; hand; podiatry; OB/GYN; Neuro; neurosurgery; plastics; gastro; thoracic; vascular; oral surg
    • Transfer: PICU, major burns, major ortho peds, peds psych - .07% transfers
  • Procedures:
    • All Standard ER procedures
  • EMR:
    • EPIC
  • Board Certification:
    • Board Certified Required
  • Travel:
    • Hospital will cover
  • Credentialing timeline:
    • Expedited Onboarding hoping for ASAP start
  • Requirements:
    • Active NY state license or compact license
    • Active DEA in NY or willing to transfer
    • ATLS, ACLS, PALS
