We are seeking a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practice Nurse) to join a growing interventional pain practice focused on delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment treating both acute and chronic pain conditions while supporting patients in improving function and quality of life.

Position Overview

The APN will provide comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients experiencing pain conditions. You will work closely with a supervising physician and multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and coordinated pain care in accordance with New Jersey regulations.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Care
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and pain assessments
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized, multimodal treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances (per NJ regulations)
  • Monitor treatment outcomes, medication safety, and patient response
  • Educate patients and families on pain management options and risks
  • Assist with or perform pain-related procedures (within scope and training)
Medication & Compliance
  • Utilize the NJ Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
  • Ensure compliance with opioid prescribing laws and pain agreements
  • Monitor for medication misuse or dependency concerns
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with supervising physician and multidisciplinary team
  • Coordinate referrals to PT, behavioral health, neurology, orthopedics, and other specialties
  • Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification
  • Master s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP or Adult-Gerontology preferred)
  • Active DEA registration and NJ prescriptive authority
  • Eligible for collaborative practice agreement with NJ-licensed physician
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care
