Opportunity:

Physician - Gastroenterology


Job Details:

  • Provide urgent Gastroenterology coverage including inpatient consult services at a Level 1 Trauma facility

  • 24-hour call shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM the following morning

  • Coverage required for the following dates: November 7-11, November 30-December 5, with ongoing January 2027 dates to follow

  • 7-day stints preferred but not required for 2027 ongoing coverage

  • Perform procedures including scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and evaluation of GI problems - ERCP and EUS capability is required to be considered

  • Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients

  • Expected caseload of 8-10 new patient consults and follow-ups, plus 5-8 scopes per day

  • GI service functions as a consult service only and does not admit patients

  • 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services available on-site

  • EMR system: Epic (experience required)

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology required

  • Gastroenterology Fellowship required

  • Active DEA required for credentialing

  • Active Colorado License highly preferred

  • Must be able to commit to a minimum number of ongoing shifts per month

  • Local or drive-in candidates highly preferred

The facility offers 24/7 trauma services, intensivist and hospitalist coverage, and supports a wide range of specialty consult services including gastroenterology. The hospital serves adult, geriatric, and adolescent patient populations and is equipped with modern infrastructure including Epic EMR to support clinical operations.
