Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Medical Director - Behavioral Health Services to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an In-patient position.
Position Highlights:
- Primary inpatient, Outpatient, and Facility Consult Oversight and Coverage
- Serve as Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services at Piedmont Macon
- Expected schedule: 5 days (Mon- Fri), assist with weekend and night call as needed
- Required to supervise mid-levels (APP s)
- Opportunities to pick up additional shifts for consults via telehealth and/or in-person across the Piedmont system
- Supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents
- Epic EMR
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Active or eligible for medical licensure in Georgia
- Experience supervising APP s is preferred
- Strong clinical, administrative, and physician leadership skills
- Previous experience with ketamine and TMS preferred
- Experience treating both adults and adolescents preferred
