Nurse Practitioner, Hematology and Oncology
Location: Connecticut
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4 ten hour shifts
Position Overview
Provide advanced practice care for adult hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Evaluate patients independently, document and implement plans of care, support new and established patient visits, and manage chemotherapy related toxicities in collaboration with the care team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations and follow ups for benign and malignant hematology and oncology
Prescribe and manage chemotherapy when qualified and credentialed
Perform or assist with procedures including bone marrow biopsy when trained and credentialed
Document care in Epic and coordinate with RNs, MAs, and clinical support staff
Required Qualifications
Active Connecticut nurse practitioner license
Board certification
ONS chemotherapy certification
BLS and ACLS
DEA
Epic proficiency preferred
