Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Start Date: ASAP

Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential to extend

Setting: Hospital-based Level III NICU

Schedule: Flexible options

• 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

• 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

• 24-hour shifts available

• hours per week

Call: No specific call; based on scheduled hours

Census/Volume:

• NICU Census: infants daily

• Annual Deliveries: 1,200 1,300

Duties Include:

• Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries

• Manage chest tube insertions, central lines, intubations

• Interpret antenatal/perinatal history and assess gestational age

• Perform resuscitations and emergency procedures in delivery and neonatal units

• Conduct physical exams and procedures on high-risk infants (e.g., lumbar puncture, umbilical line placement, needle thoracentesis)
