Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Opportunity Massachusetts
Position Overview
An established urgent care practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide full-time locum coverage. This opportunity offers a consistent schedule, adult patient population, and a supportive clinical environment utilizing Epic EMR.
Compensation:
Regular: $100/hr
Overtime: $145/hr
Holiday: $145/hr
Assignment Details
Start Date: July 2026
Assignment Length: Approximately 13 Weeks
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Preferred schedule:
Tuesday Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Approximately two weekends per month
Weekend shifts are typically 8 hours
Weekly schedules may include a blend of weekday and weekend coverage

Adults (18+ years)
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients
Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries
Perform routine urgent care procedures
Document encounters in Epic EMR
Provide patient education and follow-up recommendations
Patient Volume
Approximately 32 patient-facing hours per week
Approximately 8 administrative hours per week
Average daily census of 32 patients

Qualifications
Required
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
Active Massachusetts License
DEA Registration
BLS Certification
Minimum of 1 year of Urgent Care experience
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have recent urgent care experience, be comfortable managing a wide range of acute conditions independently, and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Travel Support
Travel assistance is available and includes transportation support for commuting to and from the island location.
Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
