Family Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Psychiatry (Locum Tenens)
A healthcare organization in the Northeast is seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for a long-term locum tenens opportunity within an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Position Details
- Inpatient Psychiatry
- Full-time schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
- No call required
- Scheduled clinical hours only
- Long-term assignment with anticipated coverage through 2026
- Cerner EMR
- Opportunity to work with patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric populations, with the majority being adults
Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC)
- Minimum of 2 years of post-training experience
- Must be eligible to practice independently in the state
- Active state license required at time of submission
- CPI Training required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Practice Environment
- Inpatient setting
- Admissions required
- Approximately 52 patients per shift
- No APP supervision required
- No teaching or resident supervision responsibilities
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
