Facility:
This well-established medical center is a comprehensive acute care facility serving the southern Oregon region. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center with robust support services including 24-hour availability of anesthesia, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, catheterization lab, radiology, and laboratory services, ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional emergency care.

Board Certified - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:
  • Locum Tenens opportunity covering 4-8 shifts per month in a busy Emergency Medicine department with an annual volume of 37,000 patient visits
  • Approximately 16 patient encounters per shift
  • Day shift hours are 9am-9pm (12 hours) and night shift hours are 11pm-6am (with occasional extension to 7am)
  • Night shift coverage is the primary need - providers who will only work exclusively day shifts will not be accepted
  • Shifts are typically scheduled in 1-2 blocks of 4 consecutive shifts, but scheduling is flexible
  • Providers seeking shorter shift schedules may discuss accommodations, though this cannot be guaranteed
  • Looking for 1-2 locum providers to cover both day and night shifts
  • Inpatient, hospital-only coverage with no on-call requirements
  • All providers will be contacted for a phone interview with the hospital medical director prior to start
  • Active Oregon medical license required - must be licensed in Oregon only
  • DEA registration required
  • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency completion required
  • ATLS certification required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
  • RFA turnaround expected within 48-72 hours and application turnaround within approximately 5 days to ensure timely start
  • Target orientation date is November 10th, contingent upon timely completion of privileging
  • Start date November 1, 2026 through ongoing

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
