Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary covering provider for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
- Manage a wide range of high-acuity patients, including pre- and post-operative surgical cases.
- Provide care for high-risk single ventricle physiology, arrhythmia management, and more.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
- Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing.
- Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
- BLS certification from AHA and PALS from ABA.
- Preferred Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
Working Hours
- 13-hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts
- Weekends and holidays as per unit needs
- On-call and callback duties
Skills
- At least 3 years of PA and Critical Care experience.
- Strong knowledge of complex congenital heart disease anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
