Job description

Physician - General Radiologist (Locums) Description

We are seeking a General Radiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This assignment is ideal for a radiologist with broad diagnostic imaging experience, with a preference for candidates with an MR Fellowship.

The provider will support a busy radiology department interpreting a wide range of diagnostic studies across multiple imaging modalities. This is a 3-6 month assignment with an ASAP start date and expedited privileges available for qualified candidates.

  • Radiology department with approximately 165,000 annual imaging volume
  • Patient volume varies by shift
  • No floating required
  • Prior travel experience preferred

Job Responsibilities
  • Interpret and perform a broad range of diagnostic radiology services.
  • Read diagnostic imaging studies including:
    • Diagnostic X-Ray (DX)
    • Ultrasound (US)
    • Computed Tomography (CT)
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI/MR)
    • Routine Fluoroscopy
  • Provide accurate and timely diagnostic interpretations.
  • Support radiology coverage across assigned shifts.
  • Participate in weekend call coverage.
  • Complete required onboarding and EMR training.
Qualifications
  • Active Massachusetts medical license required to proceed.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist preferred.
  • General Radiology experience required.
  • MR Fellowship preferred.
  • Experience interpreting multiple diagnostic imaging modalities.
  • Must be comfortable providing weekend call coverage.
Working Hours
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 3-6 months (Ongoing)
  • Schedule Options:
    • Typical Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Late Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Call: Required
    • Weekend call coverage
    • Call hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Overtime:
    • Daily OT after 12 hours
    • Weekly OT after 168 hours
