This locum Anesthesiology opportunity is at a 279-bed acute care hospital in Massachusetts with a medically directed care team model consisting of 11 anesthesiologists and 30 CRNAs. The case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, bariatrics, vascular, neurosurgery, thoracic, gynecology, dermatology, plastics, cardiac, and obstetrics, with no trauma cases. Coverage is needed for approximately 2 5 shifts per month, with weekday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be board certified (ABA or AOBA), hold an active Massachusetts medical license, be cardiac capable (cardiac fellowship required), and be comfortable with regional and nerve blocks, pediatric anesthesia, and obstetric anesthesia. The department manages approximately 30 cases per day in a collaborative, high-volume practice environment.
