We are seeking
1 to 2 qualified Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Medford, Oregon. This position offers flexible 4 to 8 shift monthly commitments (typically structured in 4-shift blocks).
Update 7/22: ABEM or ABOEM Board Certified. (will not accept non-EM BC certifications)
SCHEDULE
• Coverage Type: Inpatient
• Schedule Type: Hospital only
• Call Type: N/A
• Dates of Need: 4-8 shifts a month (probably 1 and/or 2 blocks of 4 shifts in a row, but flexible)
• Shift Times: 9am-9pm or 11pm-6am (may get out closer to 7am)
• Lunch: N/A
• Provider Min # Shifts Required: 4-8 shifts a month
• Guaranteed Hours per Day: 8 per day (please note we can adjust this to apply according to the shift scheduled)
• Hours Worked for OT to apply: 9 per day (please note we can adjust this to apply according to the shift scheduled)
Providers agreements will notate that guaranteed hours and OT application will align to apply to the scheduled shift. So, if a 9-hour shift, 9 hours will be guaranteed, and OT will apply after 9 hours. Same goes for any 8, 10 or 12 hour shift they may work.

CREDENTIALING
• Current CV (must be uploaded to bid)
• License: Active only
• DEA Required: Yes
• Boards: BC or truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Skills/Certs: ACLS, BLS
In order to ensure provider's start on time, please try to have the RFA and/or application turned back in as soon as possible. RFA turn around should be 48-72 hours and the application turnaround time should be around 5 days.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Looking for around 1-2 locum providers to cover both day and night shifts (nights are the major need right now)
We will not accept providers who will only work exclusively day shifts.
There is an opportunity now for a 12hr shift (9am-9pm) for providers to cover. Night shift is 11pm-6am, but some there are occasions when the providers end up getting out closer to 7am. If providers are looking for shorter shift schedules, we can discuss trying to accommodate this but can't guarantee it. Please make sure to notate that on the bid but preference is that they will work 11pm-6am.
Annual Volume is 37,000 for the whole department.
Depending on if privileging can be completed timely, we will try to aim for orientation on November 10th.
All providers will be contacted for a phone interview by the medical director of the hospital.
