Clinical Responsibilities:
The physician will provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including:
- Inpatient consultations and hospital-based GI care
- Outpatient gastroenterology evaluations and follow-up
- Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Management of gastrointestinal bleeding and other complex GI conditions
- Opportunity to provide additional outpatient procedural coverage, if desired
Required Procedures:
Candidates should be experienced in performing:
- Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
- PEG placement
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
- Liver biopsy
- Small bowel biopsy
- Management of GI bleeding and related therapeutic procedures
Support & Practice Environment:
You'll work alongside a collaborative clinical team that includes:
- Registered Nurses
- Medical Assistants
- PA/NP support
- Dedicated office staff
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility
- DEA required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
