Job description

Assignment Details:
  • Specialty: Gastroenterology
  • Position Type: Locum Tenens

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call
  • EMR: Epic
  • Assignment: Ongoing PRN coverage
Responsibilities:
  • 24-hour inpatient call coverage
  • Round on existing GI inpatients
  • Perform GI procedures as needed
  • Manage emergency department and inpatient GI consults
  • Handoff care to the local GI team at the end of the assignment
  • Adult inpatient population
Required Procedural Experience:
  • Bread-and-butter Gastroenterology
  • ERCP experience required
  • Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
  • Colonoscopy
  • GI consults and inpatient procedures
Requirements:
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active Georgia Medical License
  • Active Georgia DEA/CSR
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Clean malpractice and background history for expedited credentialing
  • Must be local to Georgia (no flight travel)
  • Self-Query NPDB report (completed within the last 30 days)
