We re looking for a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to cover shifts at a well-established Emergency Department on a locum tenens basis, with the possibility of ongoing coverage.
What the schedule looks like
- Shift: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
- Assignment: Locum tenens, with potential for continued coverage
What to expect in the ED
- Average volume: about 36 patients per day
- Admissions: roughly 3 per shift
- Case mix: a blend of inpatient and outpatient emergency care
- Team support: experienced ED RNs plus one Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- Electronic charting: Meditech
Required qualifications
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory; board-eligible candidates will not be considered
- Fellowship training is optional not required
- Active, unrestricted medical license or ability to obtain one
- DEA registration and ACLS certification required, if applicable
