Medical Director
Location: Birmingham, AL
Overview:
Our practice near Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Medical Director for a low-stress, flexible-schedule opportunity focused on chronic pain management. Our role emphasizes work-life balance alongside highly competitive compensation.
Position Offers:
- Schedule: Flexible
- Monday Thursday or 3 4 days per week
- Clinic hours: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM
- Competitive compensation: $225,000 $250,000
- No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic, noncancer-related pain
- Conduct new patient consultations
- Provide ongoing follow-up care
- Oversee midlevel providers
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Fellowship training in pain management or equivalent advanced training strongly preferred
- Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of practice
- Current board certification in relevant specialty; subspecialty certification in pain management preferred
- Current DEA registration and any additional controlled substance certifications
