Radiology - Breast Only Join our team as a dedicated Breast Radiologist and make a meaningful impact in women's healthcare. This specialized role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional on-site breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided procedures such as biopsies and aspirations. You will play a vital role in early detection and diagnosis, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What You ll Do: - Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI.
- Conduct image-guided procedures such as biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
- Manage comprehensive reports in accordance with BI-RADS and MQSA standards.
- Communicate results clearly to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort.
- Collaborate effectively with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams.
- Maintain proficiency in both screening (45-55%) and diagnostic (25-35%) imaging, with procedural work comprising 15-25% of your duties.
- Adapt to transition from Change Health PACS to Sectra PACS and utilize Cerner EMR for documentation.
Required Skills: - Fellowship training in Breast Imaging.
- Proven experience interpreting screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRI.
- Proficiency in image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
- Strong understanding of BI-RADS classification and MQSA compliance.
- Excellent patient communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Competence in managing same-day diagnostic workups and reporting accurately.
Nice to Have Skills: - Prior experience with PACS transitions.
- Knowledge of advanced breast imaging techniques.
- Experience working within EMR systems like Cerner.
- Ability to participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience: - Medical Degree (MD or DO) with Board Certification in Radiology.
- Fellowship-trained in Breast Imaging.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in breast radiology.
Other Requirements: - Active medical license and certification in radiology.
- Willingness to work hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Eligibility for licensing, certification, travel reimbursement, and other applicable reimbursements as needed.
