Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is recruiting an Interventional Cardiologist to join its growing practice at Atrium Health Cabarrus, a high quality, innovation driven tertiary care site within Advocate Health. This opportunity offers the ability to practice at a busy regional referral hospital.

About the Practice & Hospital
Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457 bed tertiary care hospital and the second largest in the Greater Charlotte market, serving a rapidly growing and diverse patient population. The hospital is part of Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, one of the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular programs in the Southeast, and is anchored by a state of the art Heart & Vascular Tower designed for integrated, patient centered care.

The cardiovascular program offers a full spectrum of services including advanced non invasive and structural imaging, structural and interventional cardiology, comprehensive electrophysiology services, and advanced heart failure care. Physicians practice in a highly collaborative, team based environment alongside 17 cardiologists, 4 cardiac surgeons, a dedicated 6 physician vascular surgery team, and robust support from more than 21 cardiology focused advanced practice providers.

Position Overview

Full-time, 1.0 FTE clinical opportunity

Interventional Cardiology

Coronary focus (no structural heart, peripheral vascular, or PE workups)

Opportunity to participate in the care of complex cardiogenic shock patients

Average week includes approximately 3 days cath lab and 2 clinic days

2 cath labs (Philips equipment)

1 additional lab available Q3 2027

1:5 STEMI call
