Job description

Assignment Details:

  • Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Coverage: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
  • Call: None
  • Minimum Availability: 14 shifts per month preferred
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
  • EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:

The physician will provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including:

  • Inpatient consultations and hospital-based GI care
  • Outpatient gastroenterology evaluations and follow-up
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
  • Management of gastrointestinal bleeding and other complex GI conditions
  • Opportunity to provide additional outpatient procedural coverage, if desired

Required Procedures:

Candidates should be experienced in performing:

  • Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
  • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
  • ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
  • PEG placement
  • Esophageal dilation and manometry
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
  • Liver biopsy
  • Small bowel biopsy
  • Management of GI bleeding and related therapeutic procedures

Support & Practice Environment:

You'll work alongside a collaborative clinical team that includes:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Medical Assistants
  • PA/NP support
  • Dedicated office staff

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship
  • Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility
  • DEA required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
