Ahealthcare facility in Blacksburg, Virginia is seeking a Locums InvasiveInterventional Cardiology Physician to provide inpatient interventionalcardiology coverage and support 24/7 STEMI services. This is an excellentopportunity for a Board Certified cardiologist to join a collaborative teamproviding critical cardiac care in support of the facility's Chest PainAccreditation and trauma services.
PositionHighlights
- Coverage: 8 days per month
- Call Schedule: 24/7 call coverage required due to trauma and STEMI program needs
- Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients

ClinicalResponsibilities
- Provide inpatient interventional cardiology services
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Provide 24/7 STEMI call coverage as required for Chest Pain Accreditation
- Evaluate and manage acute cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and other specialists
- Deliver timely, high-quality care for patients requiring advanced cardiac intervention

Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Invasive Interventional Cardiology experience required
- Active Virginia medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA registration
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
