Practice Setting
- Hospital-based Emergency Department
- Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX
- Collaborative practice with strong specialty support
- NP/PA supervision required
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage a broad range of emergency conditions
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
- Collaborate with consulting specialists
- Utilize Epic with Dragon and DAX for documentation
Department Details
- Approximately 40,000 annual ED visits
- 310-bed hospital
- 30 Emergency Department beds
- 38 physician coverage hours daily
- 24 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Board eligibility must be obtained within 5 years of residency
- Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
- DEA with Georgia address
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- ATLS required (waived for ABEM-certified physicians)
- Clinical activity/case logs for the past 2 years
- CME/CEU documentation (20 hours per year for the past 2 years)
Credentialing
- Pre-application required
- Temporary privileges considered following CVO file release and credentialing committee approval
- TB screening required
- Flu vaccine required during flu season
