Facility:
This regional medical center serves as an essential healthcare resource for the surrounding community, offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. The facility features 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds, averaging 27 deliveries monthly, and is supported by 24/7 on-call Anesthesiology and Radiology services, as well as dedicated hospitalist support staff.

Job Details:
  • 24-hour call coverage needed from 9/11 8A through 9/16 8A
  • Provider will round on patients and be on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Available for any emergent gynecological procedures as needed
  • High-risk deliveries will be emergent only; high-risk transfers to partner facilities approximately 30-45 minutes away
  • Level 1 nursery on-site; no NICU at facility
  • Average census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
  • Must be within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
  • Provider will be housed in hospital apartments adjacent to the facility
  • Must have an active NC license and NC DEA with NC address
  • Must hold NC Medicaid credentials and be currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider
  • Board Certified required; must be fully vaccinated
  • No recent or open malpractice cases
  • Must be actively delivering babies; case logs from the last 24 months required at submission
  • Required skills include: low risk pregnancy management, routine and complicated vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-sections, breech and multiple birth deliveries, VBAC's, and management of abruptions
  • Must perform OB ultrasounds and be capable of decision-making for C-sections
  • Required to repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Surgical gynecology required including open, laparoscopic, and major operative procedures
  • Office and minor gynecology procedures required including IUD, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and cystoscopy
  • Laser certification required
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
  • NC license required; IMLC not accepted

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
