Facility:This regional medical center serves as an essential healthcare resource for the surrounding community, offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. The facility features 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds, averaging 27 deliveries monthly, and is supported by 24/7 on-call Anesthesiology and Radiology services, as well as dedicated hospitalist support staff.
Opportunity:Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:- 24-hour call coverage needed from 9/11 8A through 9/16 8A
- Provider will round on patients and be on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
- Available for any emergent gynecological procedures as needed
- High-risk deliveries will be emergent only; high-risk transfers to partner facilities approximately 30-45 minutes away
- Level 1 nursery on-site; no NICU at facility
- Average census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
- Must be within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
- Provider will be housed in hospital apartments adjacent to the facility
- Must have an active NC license and NC DEA with NC address
- Must hold NC Medicaid credentials and be currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider
- Board Certified required; must be fully vaccinated
- No recent or open malpractice cases
- Must be actively delivering babies; case logs from the last 24 months required at submission
- Required skills include: low risk pregnancy management, routine and complicated vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-sections, breech and multiple birth deliveries, VBAC's, and management of abruptions
- Must perform OB ultrasounds and be capable of decision-making for C-sections
- Required to repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Surgical gynecology required including open, laparoscopic, and major operative procedures
- Office and minor gynecology procedures required including IUD, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and cystoscopy
- Laser certification required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
- NC license required; IMLC not accepted
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
