Clinical Role
Join a premier Level I Trauma Center in Springfield, Missouri, providing Endovascular Neurosurgery call coverage as part of a comprehensive stroke program. This ongoing locums opportunity focuses exclusively on endovascular neurosurgery call with no clinic responsibilities while working alongside an experienced Stroke Team in a collaborative hospital environment.

- Approximately 7-10 days per month (coverage may vary month to month)
- Multiple providers accepted
Schedule:
- 24/7 in-house call
- Call hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- Coverage begins at 7:00 AM on the first day and ends at 7:00 AM on the final day
- First available assignment:
- Thursday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
Call Details:
- Endovascular Neurosurgery call only
- Immediate call response required
- Approximately 3-4 phone consults
- Assigned and unassigned patients
- Ability to take patients directly from call to the Operating Room or Interventional Radiology suite as needed

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide Endovascular Neurosurgery call coverage
- Evaluate emergency neurovascular consultations
- Manage assigned and unassigned patients
- Perform endovascular neurosurgical procedures as indicated
- Take patients directly from call to the Operating Room or Interventional Radiology suite when necessary
- Collaborate with the Stroke Team and multidisciplinary specialists
- Document patient care in EPIC
Program Structure:
- Two Endovascular Neurosurgeons divide monthly endovascular call coverage as evenly as possible
- Physicians also participate in separate General Neurosurgery and Joplin call rotations

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery required
- Active Missouri Medical License required
- Fellowship preferred
- ACLS required
- BLS required
