Clinical Role
Join a high-volume, well-established Neurosurgery practice in Tampa, Florida, providing inpatient rounding, first assist surgical support, and call coverage. This locums opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a comprehensive neurosurgical team serving both adult and pediatric patients at a large Level II Trauma Center.

- 600+ bed facility
- Level II Adult Trauma Center
- Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Team Structure:
- Five Neurosurgeons
- Four Advanced Practice Providers
Patient Population:
- Adult and pediatric patients
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient neurosurgery rounding
- Assist neurosurgeons in the operating room
- Perform surgical first assist duties
- Evaluate unassigned neurosurgical patients
- Participate in night and weekend call rotations
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, APPs, nurses, and hospital teams
- Document patient care using Cerner
Support & Technology
EMR System:
Requirements
- Active Florida Physician Assistant License required
- Board certification required
- Minimum one year of Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider experience required
- Operating room first assist experience required
- ACLS required
- BLS required
Credentialing
