Job description

  • Specialty: General Anesthesiologist
  • Practice Setting: OR/Surgery Department
  • Dates/Coverage Needed: Beginning ASAC for 6 months with the option to extend.
    • Nighttime physicians working 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, approximately 3 shifts per week
    • Daytime physician working 10- or 12-hour shifts who is also willing to take night call (with post-call days off)
    • Case Mix: General, Ortho, Neuro (includes spines and crani), OBGYN, Urology, Vascular (includes fem pop bypass, av fistula, occasional endovascular AAA repair), Podiatry, GI. Need regional experience. High risk hepatobiliary experience is a plus. Whipples, major liver resections, esophagectomies, pheochromocytomas, thoracotomies. No hearts and no peds.
    • Support Staff/Supervision: Medical Direction, 1:4 ratio. Anesthesiologist's fulfill the 7 steps for medical direction
    • # of OR's: 14-16 sites of service - will have 2-3 care teams and solo physicians. Volume of OR cases per month is 900
    • Credentialing Time-Frame: 90 days
    • Certifications: BC required, ACLS, BLS, DEA
    • Active TX License: Required upon submission
