We are seeking a single, Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide immediate FMLA coverage for a targeted 3-day block this September. This position offers a quick 30-day credentialing window with temporary privileges available for an expedited start.
Position Overview - Specialty: Emergency Medicine (ED)
- Start Date: September 8, 2026 (Mandatory 1-day on-site orientation required on 9/8)
- End Date: September 11, 2026
- Coverage Type: Clinical Shifts Only (No standalone call)
- Targeted Dates of Need: September 9, September 10, and September 11 (8:00 AM 8:00 PM daily)
- Future Outlook: Potential for ongoing shifts depending on facility needs.
Clinical Scope & Volume - Setting: Combined Inpatient/Outpatient Emergency Department (7 days a week operation).
- Patient Volume: Averages 36 patients per day.
- Admissions: Averages approximately 3 admissions per shift.
- Support Staff: Robust on-site team consisting of ED Registered Nurses (RNs) and one (1) Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
Requirements & Qualifications - Board Certification: Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) is strictly required. Board Eligible or fellowship-trained candidates without primary EM certification cannot be considered.
- Licensure: Active Michigan (MI) medical license or active eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Provider Commitment: The facility is looking for a single dedicated provider to cover the entire block; multiple providers will not be accepted.
