Practice & Cases
- Adult inpatient general surgery coverage
- Rounding and admissions on assigned patients
- Approximately 1 to 3 patients seen per shift with about 5 phone consults
- General surgery procedures including trauma, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, vascular procedures, and central line placement
Schedule
- Weekend coverage blocks
- Call required with a 30-minute response time
- Shift times determined during scheduling
- Weekend coverage structure based on client needs
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Active Texas medical license required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in General Surgery
- ACLS required
