Locums - Florence, Oregon NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opportunity
Clinical Role
Join an established Emergency Department in Florence, Oregon, providing emergency medicine care alongside board-certified emergency physicians in a collaborative hospital setting. This ongoing locums opportunity seeks multiple Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) to help fill urgent August coverage needs with continued assignment opportunities through December 2026 and beyond.
Assignment Details
Start Date:
ASAP
First day reserved for orientation and onboarding activities.
Contract Length:
Standard 6-month assignment
Current approval through December 8, 2026
Extensions reviewed every six months
Coverage Requirements:
- Seeking 4.0 FTE
- Immediate priority is August coverage beginning August 4
- Ongoing coverage available
- Providers are encouraged to submit all available dates for August and September
- Schedule flexibility available to accommodate provider availability
Schedule:
Variable Sunday-Saturday schedule
12-hour shifts
10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
APPs work mid-shift coverage only.
Call Schedule:
No call required

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Hospital Emergency Department
Patient Population:
All ages
Emergency Department Volume:
- Approximately 35-45 patients per day
- More than 12,000 patient visits annually
Facility Details:
- 9 private monitored treatment rooms
- 2 trauma/resuscitation bays
- 3 triage/treatment rooms
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
- Perform standard emergency medicine procedures
- Assess, stabilize, and manage acute illnesses and injuries
- Collaborate with supervising Emergency Medicine physicians
- Document patient care using Epic EMR

APPs are never scheduled independently.
A board-certified Emergency Medicine physician is always present in the Emergency Department.

- Board Certified Emergency Medicine NP or PA - Required
- Active Oregon License - Required
- ACLS Certification - Required
- ATLS Certification - Required
- PALS Certification - Required
- Documentation of active Emergency Medicine clinical practice within the previous 24 months (case logs) - Required
