UPMC is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist to join an established regional practice providing ongoing locums coverage throughout western Pennsylvania.
This is one integrated regional assignment, not four separate jobs. Physicians are credentialed across the UPMC regional urology network and work one scheduled location per day. Clinic schedules, OR time, and call responsibilities are planned in advance, allowing for a predictable workflow without traveling between multiple facilities during the same day.
The client is looking for physicians who can provide recurring Monday-Sunday coverage blocks, with the greatest need for physicians available one to three weeks each month. This is an ongoing vacancy with long-term scheduling available.
Schedule - Monday-Sunday coverage
- Recurring 7-day blocks
- 1-3 weeks per month preferred
- Clinic: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- 24-hour call
- OR and surgical coverage
- Ongoing assignment
Practice Details - Regional UPMC Urology practice
- Outpatient clinic
- Hospital inpatient coverage
- General adult urology
- Clinic, OR, inpatient consults and call
- Minor office procedures including cystoscopy and stent removal
- Approximately 20-25 clinic patients per day
- Epic / Cerner EMR
- APP support available during daytime hours
- APPs assist with daytime consults and routine inpatient management
- Weekend rounding typically averages 1-3 hours
- Overnight call volume is generally light

- UPMC Jameson Hospital
- UPMC Horizon - Shenango Valley
- UPMC Nesbitt Place Clinic
- UPMC Hermitage Clinic
Physicians are credentialed throughout the regional practice but are assigned one work location per day. Clinic and hospital schedules are established in advance based on operational needs.
Requirements - Board Certified or Board Eligible Urology
- DEA
- BLS
- ACLS
- Pennsylvania license preferred
- Physicians willing to obtain a Pennsylvania license are encouraged to inquire
- Minimum three years of experience preferred
